Rentals
Kayaks and Canoes
Rent a kayak or canoe and paddle through the mangrove forest along the Commodore Creek Water Trail or explore the open waters of Tarpon Bay and look for dolphins, manatees, birds, and more. (2-hours minimum. Safety vests included at no charge.)
Bikes
Ride a bike along Wildlife Drive in the heart of the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. We are the closest rental facility to the Wildlife Refuge, with no intersections to cross. Children’s bikes, trail-a bikes, baby buggers, and baby seats are also available. (Half- or full-day. Safety helmets included at no charge.)
Motorized Canoes
Perfect for fishing in Tarpon Bay. These two-person canoes come equipped with an electric trolling motor so you don’t have to spend time paddling. Bring your own fishing gear or rent it from us. Live bait and fishing licenses are also available. (Half- or full-day.)
Pontoon Boats 
A relaxing way to explore the 950 acres of pristine waters of Tarpon Bay. Bring the whole family and spend the day fishing or sightseeing in the mangrove estuary. Our 20-foot pontoon boats accommodate up to 8 people (handicap-accessible) and come equipped with bimini top, trim and tilt motors, cooler with ice, live well, and ample storage. Bring your own fishing gear or rent it from us. Live bait and fishing licenses are also available. No boating experience necessary. Guides/Captains available. (Half- or full-day.)
Tarpon Bay Explorers is the licensed concessionaire of the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, providing recreational and educational opportunities to the public under contract with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
